Amanda Rosenstein Davidson

Studied Art Foundation at Canterbury College and gained an Honours Degree in Art & Design at Brighton, specialising in Illustration in 1981.

 

1982-2000 career as an internationally published children's book illustrator and author with Harper Collins and Methuen, Holt Rheinhart & Winston NY and Carlton EU.   Also a series of craft publications with David & Charles publishers and numerous magazines articles.

2000-2005 career as a paint effects artist and muralist working with architects and interior designers in London. Notably Pushkin House in Holburn and a small window display for Liberty's of London as well as private house projects..

 

From 1995 as a regular contributor for The Brighton Festival creating street art events with schools and as an Artist Open House.

 

Exhibitions include the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Amanda has experience running an art gallery and co-ordinating exhibitions including 'The Art of Puppetry' at Hove Museum and Art Gallery in 2017.

 

Today Amanda concentrates mainly on commissions in Pen & Ink, Watercolour, Acrylic and Oil Paints as a narrative Portrait Artist of people and their pet animals. And also Architectural House Portraits.

Working closely with the clients individual specifications and budget through sketches and her own photography as required.
